Definitions
Harmonics: AC voltages and currents with frequencies that are integer multiples of a fundamental frequency. (Fehr)
Transient: a change in the steady-state condition of voltage, current, or both (Turkel)
Voltage Sag: more than a 10% decrease below the normal rated line voltage lasting anywhere from a .5 cycles, up to 1 min in duration. (Turkel)
Voltage swell: more than a 10% increase above the normal line voltage lasting anywhere from .5 cycles up to 1 min in duration. (Turkel)
